We're relocating to Houston and want to pick a neighborhood where we'll be close to the lifestyle scene. We're a professional couple in our late 30s. Inner Loop? Katy? The Woodlands? Sugar Land? Where do most lifestyle couples live?

Lifestyle couples in Houston are spread all over the metro, but there are definitely concentrations. The northwest side (Cypress, Copperfield, Jersey Village) is close to both Pendulum Club and Colette Houston. Inside the Loop (Montrose, Heights, Midtown) gives you the easiest access to everything and is where the younger, more urban LS couples tend to live. Katy and Sugar Land have a lot of lifestyle couples too — the suburbs are full of seemingly vanilla families who get wild on Saturday nights. The Woodlands is a bit further from the clubs but has a strong house party scene of its own. For proximity to the most venues, I'd say the 290/FM 1960 corridor gives you the best access to the cluster of clubs up north.

We live in the Heights and love it for the lifestyle. We're 20-25 minutes from all the clubs, there are great restaurants for pre-gaming (White Oak area is perfect), and the neighborhood itself is walkable and fun. Plus, Inside the Loop couples tend to be our demographic — young professionals, dual income, no kids or older kids. The Woodlands crowd is great but you're looking at a 40+ minute drive to any club.
